What the $&@!?

So many weird things have taken place in my body since I became pregnant and delivered Ava. Take for instance my new found intolerance to eggs. Yes, eggs. I first noticed something funky when we were out here in California staying in the hotel and I ordered some eggs for breakfast one morning. By that afternoon I thought I had eaten something bad because I felt a bit crampy and nauseated. That has since escalated in severity. Last night I made crepes for dinner-a family favorite, but about 20 minutes after eating felt extremely nauseated, with a stomach ache and chills. That lasted for about 8 hours until about 30 minutes ago when I finally woke Ben up to give me a blessing. Needless to say, I don't want to have to be dependent on blessings to help me digest food.

I was grateful, though, because Ava went almost 10 hours in between feeds. I definitely saw the Lord helping me with that one. I'm not sure I could have taken care of her any earlier. I guess one of the reasons I'm struggling is because Im not sure what foods I will now be able to eat. Ava has an intolerance to me drinking milk, and now I'm finding I have a tolerance to eggs. What does that leave me with? I guess that makes me a vegan that still eats meat... Not necessarily by choice but by necessity. Anyone have any good recipes??

I felt so bad for you last night being sick :( I hate that feeling and I'm happy to see you feeling better now!

Try soy and rice milk - much different than milk, but I've been lactose intolerant for over 10 years, and I enjoy both. Good luck, I hope you are feeling better!

I never thought of rice milk! I'll definitely have to try that! The Dr has me off soy, because 40% of the kids with a sensitivity to the milk protein have a soy sensitivity as well.
